Alright, I'm really starting to like my little Slade'verse that I've just created. I already have a lot of one shots typed up for it. One has passed my editing so far--I'm still working out bugs and what nots--so I've decided to post it.
But I should explain my Slade'verse a bit.
Alright, so there are no powers; no laser eyes, flying, or anything like that. But Batman's crew still have their cool weapons and what not because they're awesome. Most people have technology like that as well, but still, Batman is just cooler. Anyway, Slade's raging a war to try to take over Earth and it's lasted for 12 years so far; he's wining. The only big places he's yet to take over is Gotham and Metropolis which are both considered Nations. There are a few more, not-important places Slade has yet to take over or is his ally but no one cares right now. Also, the big named heroes of DC are the leaders of the Nations. The villians are all working under Slade because he's bad assed.
The character's personalities are tweaked a bit. Slade is a bit darker and pretty blunt about having an interest in guys. Jason is really just all talk and he tries to back it up but usually needs Batman or Dick to help him out. Tim is all brains and he tends to get scared and clingy really easily. Dick plays the role of the older brother but he's easily frustrated or nervous. That's all for now.
Here are a few short stories from how Dick, Jason, and Tim all end up living with Bruce in this universe. I wrote them all differently because I was kind of bored.

They shouldn’t be spying, they all know that but they’re doing it anyway. If they’re caught then Bruce will chew them up about it for sure. But normally they don’t have to spy, usually when Batman gets a call he allows them to listen as well. It was strange that he had told them all to leave and it had caused their curiosities to get to the better of all three of them.
“I called to try to help you out. If you’re going to be so intolerable then I’m not going to waste my time. I do have a world to rule, you know.” He had heard that voice before, everyone had, and everyone feared it just like he did.
“You don’t rule the world, Deathstroke, and you have a lot more fights if you continue to try and do so.” Dick could tell that Bruce was angry and not just by his voice. Peeking around the corner, Dick quickly glanced into the Batcave and then pressed himself against the wall once again to stop himself from being discovered.
“What did he--” Dick slammed his hand over Jason’s mouth to quite the boy. Tim rolled his eyes and pressed a finger to his mouth to tell his older brother to shut up in his own way.
“Come now, Batman, I haven’t lost a single battle yet and I already do rule over half of the world.” Dick peeked around the corner again and watched as Bruce stood before the giant screen showing off the infamous face of Slade Wilson; the tyrant slowly but surely taking over the world.
Alfred, the man who had always stood by Bruce’s side, continued to stand by his side in the large underground cave-headquarters known as the Batcave. Bruce growled and slammed his fist on his console; Slade seemed amused by Bruce’s burst of anger and moment of lost control. “Just tell me why you’ve called.”
“I’ve called because I’m growing tired of you hiding in your little cave. You’ll have to come out and fight sometime.” Slade challenged.
“I’m not hiding, Deathstroke, I’m protecting my people. I’m ready to fight you in a heartbeat since what you did to Green Arrow, you heartless bastard.” Bruce growled and Dick couldn’t help but shudder; when Bruce got angry it was always a scary thing whether or not it was directed at him.
He tried not to think about what he had heard about Oliver Queen; the ruler of one of the ally nations. But he was concerned about what happened to Ollie’s two sons, Conner and Roy. Roy had been his childhood friend but he hadn’t heard from him since the news of his father’s death. That had been over a year ago.
“Come now, Batman, is that the kind of language you use in front of your boys?” Slade smirked as he met Dick’s gaze. Dick froze on spot. Jason sighed beside him as he mumbled ‘busted’ and Tim hit his older brother in the arm.
Bruce turned around and glared at him. “I told you three to--”
“Let them stay, Bruce. Surely this will be a learning experience for them.” Slade grinned as Jason came around the corner first. Batman sighed as Dick fully exposed himself and Tim as well, as the youngest brother clung to Dick’s side.
“A learning experience, Slade; what are you planning on teaching them? What my insides look like? Everyone has heard of what you did to Ollie, in front of his own children.” Bruce snarled. Alfred placed a hand on his shoulder to calm him down a bit and Bruce nodded a thanks.
Bruce had seen his parents die in front of him, so had Dick, Jason, and Tim. Roy had seen both sets of parents die in front of him.
“What did you do to Conner and Roy?” Jason spoke up as he glared at the screen. Dick grabbed his brother by the shoulder to keep him from charging at the screen and cursing like he normally did.
Slade chuckled. “They’re spending the rest of their days in my home; just you three will, once daddy Bats is finally defeated.”
“You’ll never defeat Batman, you son of a--”
“That’s enough, Jason.” Bruce growled dangerously. “Go upstairs and stay up there. Alfred, go keep an eye on them. I’ll be up in a minute; this shouldn’t take much longer.” Alfred nodded and started to usher the boys upstairs. Tim released his hold on Dick and followed the older man. Dick looked at Bruce once more and then began up the stairs only to freeze when he heard his name.
“Nightwing,” Dick slowly turned back around and stared at the screen. Slade’s single eye was looking him up and down and he shuddered under the man’s gaze. “I heard your skills are quite impressive.” Dick remained silent and looked at Bruce for help.
Slade smirked as he watched the boy shiver with fear simply because he had addressed him. “If you won’t surrender, Batman, then maybe we could come up with some sort of agreement. How about I let you live if you hand over your oldest boy? I promise no harm will come to him as well.” Slade grinned, showing off his teeth, as he watched both father’s and son’s similar reactions.
Dick’s eyes widened and he stared at Bruce, ready to beg the man not to do it. Slade’s harem filled with young boys and girls was known throughout the world and feared by all. “The only way you will ever touch one of my children is if I’m dead, Slade.” Bruce glared.
“That will be arranged then.” Slade smirked as he ignored the glare and continued to look at Dick.
“We’re done talking, Slade.” Bruce shut off the screen and walked up to Dick. Dick gulped and awaited the speech about not spying when Bruce slung an arm around his shoulder and started to walk up the stairs. He walked by his father’s side as the rest of his second-family was already up the stairs and waiting for all of them.
“I won’t let him touch you, Dick.” Bruce assured him. “I won’t let anything happen to any of you.” He told the rest of the boys and they all nodded silently, ignoring the fact that Bruce’s arm was shaking.

The gun shot echoed in his ear even when his mother had begun to scream. Dick was still standing on the edge, he was just about to jump into his mother’s waiting hands when the gun shot had gone off and he saw his father’s legs release the bar. His mind knew what was going to happen before he did and told him to look elsewhere despite the need to look at his parents.
Looking into the crowd instead, Dick’s eyes immediately caught on the slight gleam of a gun as he watched the man running away from the shocked crowd. He remembered the way the man was smirking as he ran and he knew that it was the same man that had tried to blackmail the circus. As he heard the splatter below him, Dick’s already tearing eyes looked down to see his parent’s dead forms on the ground. He screamed.
He didn’t remember how he ended up on the ground, kneeling next to their lifeless forms, but he jumped as the man’s hand rested on his shoulder. He knew that the man was named Bruce Wayne, that the man ruled their nation and was a special guest for the night, but at that moment he just saw the man’s gun in his pocket holster and he knew the blackmailing man’s smirking face. He growled and grabbed the gun, taking off after the man who had killed his parents.
By the time Dick was out of the tent, Tony Zucco, the man who had caused his parents’ deaths, had just finished his cigarette and was still smirking at the done deed. Dick held the gun up to the man’s chest and snarled with tears in his eyes as he watched the man freeze. His arms shook and Zucco smirked as he pulled out his own gun and casually walked up to Dick.
Dick began to cry harder when Zucco placed the gun’s barrel against his forehead. “Want to join mommy and daddy, little Flying Grayson?” The man asked with a smirk and Dick’s hands fell to his side as he continued to cry even harder.
Closing his eyes, Dick decided that it would be better if he did die and join his family. As he heard another gun shot, his eyes flew open and he expected to feel a lot of pain. Only he saw Zucco fall to the ground, dead. Dick turned when a hand fell on his shoulder again only to find Bruce Wayne there once more.
When he opened his eyes, Dick looked around the room and only recognized Bruce sitting on the bed’s edge. “What’s going to happen to me now?” Dick knew that his voice sounded scratchy and dry from all of the tears he had shed on the car ride that was starting to slowly resurface to his memory.
Bruce smiled sadly and began to run his hand through Dick’s hand. “You’re going to live with me now.” Dick nodded and laid back down as he went to sleep again. He’d worry more once he woke up again.

His eyes go wide as he tugs on his mom’s ragged shirt to try and get her attention. She’s still screaming at his dad for the same reasons she always yells at him; getting her pregnant, getting them kicked onto the street, becoming an alcoholic, and so on. But Jason’s sure that the purple gas that he sees isn’t normal. And it’s getting closer.
He wants to get their attention but they’re still yelling at each other and if he tries to talk they’ll scream at him as well. His stomachs rumbling again but he’s not sure if it’s because he’s hungry from the lack of food or if it’s because of the bad feeling he’s getting. Jason gulps and decides to voice his concern anyways when he sees one of the alley cats fall over and stop breathing when the purple gas get near it. “Mom, dad, I think--”
They both stop yelling for a moment to glare at him. “Shut up, Jason, it’s your fault too that I’m out on the streets, you ungrateful brat. You ruined my looks!” His mother has always blamed others.
“Shut up, kid, it’s because of you that she’s always riding my case.” His father’s words are slurred and he’s pretty sure that the man he calls dad doesn’t even know his name half of the time.
Tears in his eyes, Jason runs out of the alley and doesn’t stop until he hears his mother scream and his father coughing. He suddenly can’t run away anymore and he turns back to head for his folks. The purple mist is right in front of him, along with his parents’ corpses. “Mom…? Dad..?” His legs can only shake and the gas is getting closer.
Suddenly, he’s being carried away by this figure in all black. When he’s placed on a hood of a car, he realizes that he’d been sobbing and wipes at his eyes as he looks at the man who now has his back to him and seems to be talking into a phone. “…What were the gas’ effects on you?”
“Damn it, Bruce, it was your idea that I try to help others. If it’s the last thing I do, I’ll get you for this.” Jason can hear the other man scream through the phone. The line ends and he sees that the man has his black coat tied around his neck; it looks like a cape to him. Like the man is a superhero. Then again, he’s only eight and he tries to think that everything is like those comic books that he’s able to find in the dumpsters.
The man turns to look at him and when the man runs his hand through his hair, Jason feels protected by him. “What’s going to happen to me now?” Jason asks as the man picks him up off of the car and places him in the car.
“You’re going to live with me now. Alfred, take us home please. I have to deal with this gas now. And I also have to find a replacement general, I just lost mine.” The man is still petting his hair and Jason suddenly seemed tired. Maybe he was still exhausted from all the running he had to do yesterday when his mother took an apple from a food cart.
Resting his head on the man’s chest, Jason yawns and looks ups at the man’s very blue eyes and black hair. His mother use to tell him that he got his blue eyes and black hair from his father, but his father’s eyes hadn’t seemed very blue and his hair hadn’t really been black. “Are you my real dad?”
“No,” the man smiles again. “But I am your new dad.” Jason nods and closes his eyes. He’s very tired of living on the streets and if his ‘new dad’ has a car, then he doesn’t care where he’ll end up.

Your dad calls you smart again as you ask him if you’re being taken to the manor again. You don’t know why your dad always insist on bringing you along when he goes to Bruce Wayne’s manor, but you do enjoy the car ride nonetheless. Except when your dad suddenly stops like that and you jerk forward a bit.
“Dad, what’s going on?” You ask him but he’s already out of the car, his gun at the ready in his hand.
“Stay in the car, Tim.” Your dad calls back to you and you nod, knowing that your dad couldn’t see it. You know that your dad had been promoted to General in Bruce’s army, but you always worry when he goes on a mission or does something dangerous. You’re smart and you know that people die doing missions or dangerous things. You know that he’s doing something dangerous again and it makes you worry once more.
When you heard the gun shot you ran out of the car despite what your dad told you. You had to know that he was okay. When you went into the alley that you had watched your dad run into, your blood runs cold as you watch your dad’s blood run on the concrete floor.
“Dad!” You scream and run to his side. You see the culprits still in the alley but you don’t care. “Dad, don’t die.” You have tears streaming down your face when you lean down to your dad’s chest and try to listen for a heartbeat. You hear it.
But when it stops, you scream. The men in the alley walk by you as they tell each other that you’re only a kid and Slade won’t let them shoot kids. You wish you were dead.
You notice that your dad’s cell is blinking, but you don’t feel like doing anything about it as you continue to cry on your dad’s chest.
By the time you stop crying, Bruce Wayne is standing in the alley along with his two adoptive kids. You’re smart enough to know that the boys had also watched their parents die, just like Bruce had as well. You can’t help but think how you’re probably going to be adopted by the man with the oversized weak spot for children who’ve watched their parents die.
As he kneels next to you, you ask him, “What’s going to happen to me now?” He seems to have had that asked before as his eyes twinkle with a familiar sadness.
“You’re going to live with me now.” He runs his hand through your hair and you stare at your dad as you start crying. You wish you weren’t as smart as everyone told you.
