    “Are ya sure ya got everything ya need?” Don sighed but his smile remained on his face. He understood Raph’s constant worry and attempt to have everything within Don’s arm reach was simply a way to show that he cared. Still, Don was allowed to roll his eyes at Raph’s silliness.

            “Yes, Raph,” Don informed.

            “But are ya sure, Donnie? Ya got water in case ya wake up thirsty?” Don pointed to the bottle of water on the bedside table. “Do ya gotta piece of fruit fer yer midnight snack? Or should I go make ya a sandwich? I’ll go make ya a sandwich. Ya like wheat bread, right? Do ya want ham, turkey, or both? I’ll put both on it and--” Don grabbed Raph’s arm before he dashed out of the room.

            “Raph,” Don moved his hands to cup his face as he stared into his eyes, making those golden orbs focus on him for a moment. “I have everything that I could possibly need except for my warm lover in bed.”

            Raph looked from Don’s face to his slightly rounded plastron and smiled. Although it was difficult to tell since their plastrons barely showed, Don was pregnant. Raph placed his hands on Don’s sides and leaned forward to nuzzle his forehead against Don’s. “Right, right, sorry.” Raph pressed a kiss to Don’s lips before he moved to slide into the bed that had been built in Raph’s bedroom. The hammock was a big no-no for Don to sleep in and his bunk bed was becoming too troublesome.

            Once situated in the bed, Raph patted the space beside him and Don smiled. He groaned as he lied down and then snuggled up against his lover as Raph pulled the covers up over them both. Raph’s arms wrapped around Don and he nuzzled the top of Don’s head under his chin. Don moaned his appreciation as his eyes quickly closed. It took a lot of energy dealing with the growing baby inside him.

            Raph inhaled deeply and tightened his hold slightly. He couldn’t believe it would have been possible but Don had been growing more and more beautiful with each day that passed as they got closer to the due date. Don moved in a way that seemed to radiate beauty. His cheeks were filled with more of a healthy glow and a radiant smile always brushed across his face when he touched his stomach.

            Slowly closing his eyes, Raph felt himself begin to fall asleep with his smile still on his face. Even though he didn’t have to deal with the changes Don was going through, he was admittedly tired from fusing about Don all day, even though Don didn’t ask him to fuss and actually asked him to not fuss most of the time.

            “Raphie?” Don whispered his request.

            “Yeah, Donnie-boy?” Raph nuzzled the top of his head again.

            “Could I actually get that sandwich?” He asked sheepishly. Raph chuckled quietly as he started to climb over Don. “Sorry,” Don apologized as he rubbed at his plastron. Raph’s eyes softened as that smile formed on Don’s face again.

            “Don’t be,” Raph bent over to grab a quick kiss from Don, their lips meeting in a brief press of affection. “Yer giving me the greatest gift ever,” he placed his hand on top of Don’s on his plastron. “The least I can do is get ya a sandwich. So ya want ham or--”

            “Both please? And with mustard, lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise, pickles, and would it be too much trouble to ask for a pudding snack pack too?”
