31halloween. Donald had looked into many different religions; Catholicism, Judaism, Buddhism, Muslim, Paganism, and even Scientology, which actually didn’t revolve around science like he had hoped it would. None of them felt right to him.
He sighed to himself as he closed the browser pages. It looked like he couldn’t find an answer to his questions through that method either. He was well aware that many beings looked towards religion to fill the empty feeling inside themselves. They also looked towards love to try and do the same thing.
Donald brought a new browser up on screen and started researching love.

The crunch of leaves under his feet matched the sound of the rustling wind. Donald shivered slightly and looped the scarf he had wrapped around his long neck another loop around. He wasn’t sure why he had felt the urge to go for a walk during a cold, fall day. Perhaps it was because he knew that Michael and Leon often enjoyed walking through the park and he wanted to experience it for himself.
It wasn’t anything special, he decided. But, then again, it might have been because he was alone and didn’t have anyone’s hand to hold.

He looked across the warm fire at his original. The flames licked at the sky and the wood cracked as it burned. Donald could almost picture the flames as a metaphor for how he was going to end up in hell since he was so narcissistic that he was attracted to his original. Or perhaps the flames simply represented how strong his passion burned for Donatello. If he was optimistic he would tell himself the latter option was true.
His pessimistic side reminded him that flames seemed bright but would eventually dwindle to ash then be dust on the wind.

The cat staring at him doesn’t look a thing like David, Rafieo’s dead pet. When Rafieo had brought David home, the mangy animal’s orange fur had been plastered to its side due to the downpour it had endured. It looked miserable.
Donald is looking at a midnight black cat with the hair sticking up on its back. The creature hisses as Donald tries to draw near. “My brother would give you a good home,” he coos to the animal as he crouches down and holds his hand out, palm up.
The cat swipes at his hand and turns tail, running.

Michael was watching a show about kids and a talking dog investigating a supposed haunted house. Donald rolled his eyes at the cartoon and his tail swished irritably behind himself, accidentally knocking into the one good lamp they had acquired.
The lamp fell to the ground and cracked down the middle.
“Way to go, Donald; your freak tail broke our only working lamp.” Michael chirped unhelpfully.
“I’ll fix it,” Donald assured as he picked the lamp up.
“You can’t fix things. You’re not your original.” Michael taunted. “That weird tail is proof enough.”
Michael lost his tail the next day.
