He had to keep working. He wasn’t allowed to stop, wasn’t able to stop moving his hands or running his eyes over formulas upon theories. If he stopped tinkering with wires and gave his mind the chance to drift upon another subject then he would think about him and how his family knew what he had done. Except they didn’t know; they couldn’t possibly imagine the horrors that had been done to him.
Don shivered as a few memories clawed at the corner of his current thoughts. He shook his head and wiped at the beads of sweat forming on his forehead. His body was sore and tired. He knew he should be recovering after his surgery but he just wanted to work.
Recovery meant lying in a bed surrounded by his family and their sad faces. Lying in a bed would give him nothing to do but think and he couldn’t do that. He wasn’t allowed to think freely yet. He was still a prisoner but now it was to his own mind and its traitorous memories.
Splinter had tried to coax him into a conversation but Don wouldn’t allow it, shaking off his father’s words and avoiding his hands. He knew what his father wanted to talk about. Even though Don knew what he was doing, his avoidance tactic, wasn’t healthy, he just didn’t care. He wasn’t ready to break down yet and share the horrors he had been put through with his family. Don wasn’t sure if he ever really wanted to tell them. Mikey had seen some things and that was bad enough.
He knew he wasn’t going to repress the incident, but he just needed it to wait until he was home again before he would deal with it. All Don wanted was to break down in his home. Was that really too much to ask?
“Donnie,” Don didn’t stop when he heard Mikey’s quiet request. Apparently, he was asking for too much.
First it had been his father, then Raph, then Leo, and now it was Mikey’s turn. But Don would send him away too. Mikey especially didn’t need to deal with Don’s problems atop of his own.
But Mikey did what none of the others did or even tried to do; Mikey wrapped his arms around Don from behind, hugging him tightly. Mikey was the only one who wasn’t afraid to touch Don. Don ducked his head slightly but didn’t stop working. He also didn’t move away so Mikey counted it as a success.
“We finally have you back, Donnie, but yet we still don’t.” Mikey whispered as his arms tightened for a moment before loosening into the comfortable embrace once more. “I want my brother back.”
“You’ll get him back once we’re home. We need to leave this time period as quickly as possible.” Don stated emotionlessly as he shifted slightly to grab a different tool.
“We don’t have to rush home, Donnie. He won’t be able to hurt you again; he’s locked up now.” Mikey assured gently.
“I need to be home.” Don grunted as he pulled a piece out of the machine and started to rewire it, working around Mikey’s arms.
“You need to talk to someone, bro.” Mikey argued.
“I need to be home,” Don repeated.
Mikey sighed and then confronted his brother. He released Don only to knock the tools and pieces out of his hands and grab his shoulders softly. “What you’re doing isn’t healthy. You can’t keep this avoidance up any longer.”
“It’s a coping mechanism, Mikey, one that I fully understand the consequences for. I am prepared to handle my problems but at a time of my choosing and I choose to do so when we return home. So I will continue to avoid the problem for now until I fix this machine and get home.” Don moved out of Mikey’s light grip to grab his tools only for Mikey to once again knock them away.
“Talk to me now, Don. I know what you’ve been through,” Mikey smiled softly at Don. “I can help you if you let me.”
“You don’t know everything that I’ve been through and I don’t want to add to what you went through. I just want to go home. I promise I will talk to somebody when I get home.” Don promised as he moved away from Mikey, picking up his tools once again.
Mikey shook his head. “That’s still not right. You need help right now, Don, not when--”
“Did you seek help right away?” Don snapped, finally getting some emotion into his voice although Mikey wasn’t expecting anger to be the emotion for Don to feel right away. “Did you face your problems full on once given the chance? Unless you sat down with Rafieo and discussed with him how you felt and worked on fixing it so that you would never feel that way again, then do not tell me what I need to do, Mikey, or be forewarned that I will see you as a hypocrite and not take anything you say seriously.” Don’s eyes narrowed and then he turned his attention back onto the machine.
“And that’s another thing,” Don glared as he continued his work, “you don’t know what I went through. Yes, you were,” Don paused for a slight second, “assaulted like me, but I was assaulted in a way meant to only cause pain. You were wrongfully assaulted in a way that was seen by your attacker as love. Your attacker was mistaken and clueless and now you’re dating him. My attacker did it for the pure enjoyment of being in control of the situation and causing me pain. He cared nothing for me and will not soon become my boyfriend!” Don finished with a shout, panting slightly. “So don’t compare our situations to one another. Not when my skin still hasn’t grown back from his experiments.”
Mikey nodded his head even as the tears rose to his eyes. He didn’t let them fall though, not even when he left the room, allowing Don to continue his work in silence.

“I love my dog Clifford.” Rafieo then turned to Mikey for recognition.
“You’re getting really good at reading, Rafieo.” Mikey complimented as Rafieo closed the book. “It’s only been a week and already you can read a book all by yourself.”
Rafieo frowned and looked at the cover of the book. “Does Clifford really count as a book? It’s not even fifteen pages.”
“It certainly is a book!” Mikey argued. “And now we can start you on comics, more importantly, Superman comics.” Rafieo grinned and Mikey chuckled. “I knew he was your favorite.”
“What’s not to like?” Rafieo asked, completely serious. “Superman is brave and strong and he’s a good guy and he helps people.” Rafieo’s grin slowly dimmed down until it transformed into a frown. “And he never hurts people, ever.” Rafieo turned his sorrowful eyes to Mikey.
Mikey blinked as he slowly realized that things had become serious. “Mikey,” Rafieo sighed, “I know you don’t wanna talk about the past,” he began.
“No,” Mikey interrupted, “it’s okay, Rafieo, there’s nothing to be afraid of when talking about the past because, well, it’s in the past. It happened already so talking about it won’t change what had happened. It’s like in Superman’s past, when he didn’t know how to control his powers because he didn’t understand them and accidentally hurt a lot of people, people that were close to him that he loved,” Mikey reached over to grab Rafieo’s hand, slowly interlacing his fingers with Rafieo’s. “Superman just learned from his mistakes and was able to become the hero he was destined to be because he wasn’t afraid of talking about what he had done to better understand it all.”
Rafieo smiled. “So we can talk about, about what happened now?”
“Yeah,” Mikey nodded his head. “You can talk about it now if you want to,” Mikey moved off of his bed and grabbed the book from Rafieo, placing it on the ground with the other books that he had been using to teach Rafieo how to read.
“I didn’t mean to hurt you.” Rafieo admitted, “I just wanted to make you happy and, well, Michael said that sex makes people happy. I just didn’t understand the rules of sex first.”
“I know, but you know them now, right?” Mikey asked.
“Yes,” Rafieo nodded his head, “Ask first, use lube, and prepare. Then I have to watch for visual clues and listen too.”
Mikey nodded his head and moved to sit on the bed next to Rafieo. “But what about before sex? Do you have to ask about everything when you’re in a relationship with someone?”
“Uh, what?” Rafieo frowned.
Giggling, Mikey crawled into Rafieo’s lap. “Do I have to ask permission to sit in your lap?”
“No,” Rafieo shook his head with a smile, “Cause I like you in my lap and you know that already.”
“Right, and do I have to ask for a kiss?” Mikey questioned as he raised his arms to wrap around Rafieo’s large neck.
Rafieo gulped. “No, I like kissin’ too.” Mikey smiled as he leaned forward to press a soft kiss against Rafieo’s beak. He deepened the kiss after a moment when he realized that Rafieo wasn’t going to. Opening his mouth slightly, Mikey let his tongue slide loose to brush against Rafieo’s closed beak.
Jerking his head back in surprise, Rafieo stared at Mikey. “Was that your tongue?”
Mikey chuckled. “Yeah, if you open up your mouth then our tongues can touch.” Rafieo tilted his lovable head like a confused puppy. Mikey smiled at him and rubbed up and down his neck, making Rafieo grumble appreciatively and tilt his head for more. “You remind me of a puppy getting his ears scratched.” Rafieo stopped to stare at Mikey some more. “Maybe it’s just because you read Clifford to me so I kinda have red dogs on my mind?”
“It’s okay,” Rafieo smiled. “I don’t mind being your puppy.” He licked Mikey’s cheek and Mikey laughed.
“So you have no problem licking my cheek but you don’t want our tongues to touch?” Mikey asked as he lowered one hand to softly brush across Rafieo’s plastron.
“Well,” Rafieo shrugged, “would that feel good?”
Mikey nodded his head. “Yeah, I’m pretty sure it does.” Mikey’s face heated slightly. “But if you don’t like it, just tell me. You know, it’s that whole communicating part of our relationship.”
“Right,” Rafieo agreed with his own nod as he brought a hand up to play with the tails of Mikey’s bandana. “Well, I’ll try anything once.”
“Good, and I will too.” Mikey smiled as he leaned forward and closed his eyes. Rafieo took the initiative, after quickly swiping his tongue over his beak to moisten it, and pressed his beak to Mikey’s. The two hesitated for a moment before opening their mouths for one another and tentatively touching their tongues. The slick muscles slid against one another as they gently explored this new sensation.
Rafieo moaned low in his throat as his hands flexed against Mikey’s shoulders. He tilted his head slightly in order to get his mouth pressed tighter against Mikey’s own, seeking more of the pleasure that he was experiencing. Rafieo only had the vaguest ideas of what he was doing when he opened his mouth a little wider, spreading the warmth.
Sliding his hands down from around Rafieo’s neck, Mikey placed his hands on Rafieo’s plastron, feeling the hard protection as his fingers flexed. Mikey wasn’t sure if he was trying to pull closer to Rafieo or push away from him. He settled for breaking the kiss and leaning forward to rest his forehead against Rafieo’s chin as he panted, his breath ghosting over Rafieo’s neck and making the larger turtle shiver.
“Mikey,” Rafieo gasped, his voice low and raspy as he brushed one of his large hands down and then back up Mikey’s shell. “That, I liked that.”
Chuckling as he regained his breath, Mikey thoroughly agreed, “Yeah, I liked that too.” He softly pet the line between Rafieo’s top plastron plates and enjoyed the shiver that racked Rafieo’s body. Mikey finally collected himself and inhaled deeply only to freeze as he inhaled a heavy aroma of arousal. “Rafieo,” Mikey shifted to be able to meet Rafieo’s eyes.
Rafieo frowned slightly. “I’m sorry, I can, ah, I can go get rid of that in the bathroom.” He started to slide Mikey off of his lap only for Mikey to latch onto his arms.
“No,” Mikey shook his head even as his cheeks heated. “You don’t have to do that. I could just,” Mikey licked his beak as he shyly glanced back up at Rafieo, “Well, I said I’d try anything once. Why don’t we try, um, try having consensual sex for once?”
Eyes widening, Rafieo felt his mouth go dry as he wordlessly nodded. “I,” he tried to salvage some saliva in his mouth as he wiggled his tongue around. “I mean, do you wanna just do it like that? I mean, we could, uh, aren’t there steps before or something?”
Mikey chuckled as he leaned forward to chastely kiss Rafieo again. “You’re, you’re really cute when you’re nervous.” Mikey commented as he moved slightly again to shift off of Rafieo’s lap and sit beside him instead. “But you’re right, there are other things we could do but, well, they always say go big or go home.”
“Who says that?” Rafieo questioned.
“I’m not too sure.” Mikey admitted, “But I don’t think that really matters because you’re horny and, well, I am too.”
Rafieo’s eyes widened again. “Oh, so, so you wanna…?” His question trailed off but Mikey nodded regardless.
“Yeah, let’s try it.” Mikey smiled as he started to feel excited about the idea. He closed his eyes as he reached up and pulled Rafieo back down for another deep, searching kiss. Mikey’s hands gently roamed over Rafieo’s body, exploring freely. Rafieo’s shell felt different than Mikey’s own, a little rougher perhaps, but he liked feeling the difference.
“Mikey, wait,” Rafieo broke the kiss with a frown. “But,” Rafieo bit down on his bottom beak before he gained confidence again. “But what if I lose control during?”
Mikey frowned as he sat up and stared at Rafieo. “Well, what does Leon normally do when you lose control?”
“Tells me to breath or locks me in a room.” Rafieo stated.
“I don’t think that will work so much.” Mikey confessed. He could still remember the way Rafieo’s eyes slowly glazed over, fully covering his eyeballs the color red. It had scared him a lot at the time. Mikey tapped his beak as he tried to figure out a solution. He felt a light bulb go off above his head as he stood from the bed. “Maybe we can try something else, hold on, I’ll be right back.” Mikey ran from the room only to return a quick moment later with rope in his arms.
Blinking, Rafieo gawked for a second before he questioned, “Why do you have rope?”
Mikey smiled sheepishly. “Well, I figured that maybe if you’re tied down a little, you can’t really do anything if you do, uh, lose control a bit.”
“Tie me down? But, uh, what if I break through that?” Rafieo wondered.
“Well, I’m really good at tying knots and I could double the ropes.” Mikey suggested as he twirled the end of the coil of rope. “I mean, that’s only if you’re really okay with it. If you don’t wanna be tied down, then I won’t; I wouldn’t want to do anything that you’re uncomfortable with.” Mikey emphasized.
Rafieo shook his head. “No, it’ll be fine. Just, well, I just want to make sure you enjoy it.”
“Rafieo,” Mikey sighed. “Don’t try and make a martyr out of yourself. This is supposed to be good for both of us. I want this to be good for both of us.” Mikey pouted, making Rafieo chuckle.
“Sorry,” Rafieo smiled and opened his arms invitingly. Mikey smiled and went back to the bed, setting the rope aside, as he climbed back into Rafieo’s lap and was instantly enfolded within strong arms. “I want it to be good for both a us too this time. I really do.” He kissed the top of Mikey’s head. “And I don’t care about being tied down. I’m fine with it.” He assured as he tilted Mikey’s head up and placed a kiss to his beak.
Mikey closed his eyes into the kiss and opened them with a wide smile on his face. He quickly tied Rafieo down to the bed, doubling the rope and tripling his knots the way he had been taught to. He kissed Rafieo again before ordering him to drop down.
Mikey squeezed lube over his fingers and gripped Rafieo’s erection. The size was making his stomach tighten in fear from the memory of how much pain that large organ could cause but Mikey fought back the fearful tug in favor of familiarizing himself instead. Mikey’s hand glided smoothly along the erect shaft and he smiled as he squeezed experimentally and received a light moan for the move.
Grinning, Mikey leaned forward and kissed Rafieo deeply. He straddled Rafieo and reached back with his slick fingers to begin prepping himself. The feel of one finger inside him wasn’t too uncomfortable and actually a bit pleasurable, but he had to bite back a cry as he used a second finger on himself.
“Are you okay?” Rafieo asked worriedly. Mikey nodded and moved his fingers experimentally in and out of himself.
When he felt ready, he slowly sat back, taking in the head of Rafieo’s cock. Mikey stroked his cock to keep up his arousal as he sank down, taking in more and more of Rafieo’s cock until he felt the heat and hardness spear him completely. Mikey shuddered and exhaled shakily as his hand continued to fly over himself.
“You okay?” Rafieo asked as he shivered, resisting the too tempting instinct to simply thrust up into Mikey and take what he wanted from the smaller form.
“Yeah,” Mikey nodded slowly and offered a small smile at Rafieo. “Yeah, I’m okay. This, this isn’t too bad.” He reassured. He lifted himself off of Rafieo and slid back down only to whimper, his face scrunching up. “That was too much too fast.” He commented as he mentally cursed himself.
“Mikey, stop,” Rafieo frowned. “I don’t want you to keep pushing yourself. It’s not worth it.”
“Yes it is,” Mikey argued as he opened his eyes, blinking back small tears.
“Mikey, why are you even doing this?” Rafieo asked with a sigh.
“Because,” Mikey’s eyes narrowed determinedly, “I’m fighting for our love story.” Rafieo’s eyes widened and his heart clenched. “I may only be eighteen, but I’ve been to space on at least three different occasions now, I’ve been to the past, the future, I fight ninjas and monsters on a daily basis, I’ve been to different dimensions, and I’ve seen our worst nemesis come back after we’ve defeated him way too many times. And even though I’ve done all that, I’ve been through so much; you are the only one to ever show any interest in me romantically and sexually, Rafieo. You went about it the wrong way, completely the wrong way, but you weren’t aware of that and I get that now; it was just a mistake of misunderstanding.
“It doesn’t make all the pain go away, but the fact that you obviously don’t want me just for fucking means a lot and it helps. Because if you did only want me for that, you wouldn’t be feeling so bad about what you did, you wouldn’t be taking the time to try and help me heal, you would have just kept me tied down to your bed or something. Instead, you tried to get to know me, tried to let me get to know you. That means so much to me,” Mikey smiled and leaned forward to cup Rafieo’s face gently, “that means too much to me to just give up because we started off wrong.”
Mikey bumped his forehead against Rafieo’s. “So we’re going to fix our relationship and make sure that we’re both relaxed around one another and finally over what we went through. The only way to do that, well, it’s the hair of the dog that bit you.” Rafieo tilted his head slightly with a confused expression on his face and Mikey grinned. “You’re so cute,” he whispered and pressed a quick kiss to Rafieo’s beak. “It means, that whatever made you, um, ill must be used to heal you. So sex hurt us, and sex will heal us.”
“Okay,” Rafieo licked his beak and nodded. “Just, stop if you need to.” Rafieo urged.
Mikey nodded, and then he began a slow, perfect slide of flesh on flesh as he moved up and down. Mikey steadied his breathing as he inhaled through his mouth and exhaled through his nose, just like he had been taught. He focused on his breathing, closing his eyes as he moved his body as though it was just a routine, as those his body would know what to do without his mind paying attention.
He decided, after a few, slow movements, that he wasn’t being harmed. His body had adjusted to the large mass in him and Rafieo’s dick actually felt pretty good. It was incredibly hot and it seemed to be heating Mikey’s body, starting from his lower stomach. Then Mikey shifted his hips slightly before his thighs hit Rafieo’s flesh again as he sat down and a startled gasp was ripped from his throat.
“Are you okay? Should we stop?” Rafieo quickly asked, concerned about the noise.
“No, no, that was a good gasp,” Mikey assured as he rubbed his hand over Rafieo’s plastron. “That felt good to me. Is this feeling good for you?”
“Yeah,” Rafieo panted as he nodded his head. “You’re really tight and warm.”
Mikey smiled and continued to move, gaining some speed with his motions as momentum and his body urged him on. A pattern of gasps and moans escaped from Mikey with every downward thrust. His breathing was quickly becoming erratic as the pleasure swam throughout his body from his toes to even his bandana, feeling every inch of his body with overwhelming pleasure. Mikey gripped his erection and began to stroke himself, adding even more pleasurable sensations to his body.
Rafieo gently bucked his hips up as much as the bindings allowed him to move, meeting the motion of Mikey’s hips as the smaller turtle bucked himself forward and back in a unhurried rhythm. Mikey was riding Rafieo’s cock now with obvious pleasure; his mouth open and moaning each time he sat down and a rattling churr erupting from his throat as he lifted himself again. Rafieo knew he was making grunting and moaning noises but they were coming nonstop from him. He could barely do anything as he simply watched Mikey ride him and connect them both.
Every time Mikey’s thighs banged down against him, it sent a jolt of pleasurable electricity spreading from his very core in all directions of his body. The vision of Mikey pumping himself so close was the only thing Rafieo’s eyes could focus on. He tried to focus on the thrusting, the tightness, the stroking; he would be overwhelmed and consumed too quickly. He wanted to make it up to Mikey and make sure that Mikey had as much enjoyment as he possibly could.
But then his edges began to blur, his awareness narrowing slightly as his head began to feel fuzzy and light. “Mikey,” Rafieo whispered worriedly as his vision blurred out of focus.
“Oh, Rafieo,” Mikey called back out to his lover. He was jerked slightly as Rafieo’s hips moved suddenly, rather viciously upwards, as though trying to get even deeper into Mikey. Mikey frowned and panicked slightly as he realized that what Rafieo had been afraid of had happened; he had lost control and his eyes had glazed over with redness. “Rafieo,” Mikey tentatively called out as he placed his hands on Rafieo’s plastron and began to pull himself off of Rafieo’s organ.
Rafieo grunted and bucked his hips up again, halting Mikey from moving off. Mikey gasped and grunted as Rafieo’s body strained against the rope and continued to move, his cock pumping in and out of him at a faster pace.
Mikey rode the bucks out and calmed himself as he realized he still wasn’t being harmed. The thrusts had become faster but that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. He worked with Rafieo’s motions instead of against them and soon the red turtle came, shooting his sperm deep into Mikey’s body.
Pumping himself, Mikey was able to continue his movements on Rafieo’s slowly softening cock, and bring himself off as well with a final buck of his hips.
Sighing happily, Mikey slowly pulled off of Rafieo and collapsed on his plastron. He moaned as he closed his eyes, his heartbeat starting to slow down and his breath returning to him. “That was pretty intense.” He mumbled into Rafieo’s plastron.
“Yeah,” Rafieo agreed as he wrapped his arms around Mikey’s shell and hugged him tightly. “Did I hurt you at all?”
“No, I’m good. Better than good, actually,” Mikey blinked and pressed his hands against Rafieo to sit up slightly and stare at him. “How did you free your arms?” He asked.
Rafieo smiled sheepishly. “I broke through the ropes.” He admitted quietly.
“Could you have done that the entire time?” Mikey questioned.
“Yeah,” Rafieo nodded. “But I didn’t break them until the end and that was the point of having them.” Rafieo stated.
Mikey rested his head back against Rafieo’s body and chuckled. “You’re one of a kind, Rafieo.”
_-_-_-_-_-_-_
Waking up, Leon stared up at his ceiling with a frown. Something seemed wrong. He sniffed the air as his door open and sat up slightly. “Michael?” He frowned when the other turtle came in with two plates of food.
“I tried to follow Mikey’s advice for making breakfast and, well, the pancakes turned out okay, maybe not fully cooked through, but I’m afraid I burned the eggs.” Michael presented Leon with the plate and then crawled into the bed next to him. “Still, I woke up and decided that today should totally be a breakfast in bed kind of day.”
“Did you offer any to Rafieo?” Leon asked as he poked at the black eggs. “He might actually eat this.” He teased lightly, kissing Michael on the top of the head when the yellow turtle pouted slightly.
“For your information, Rafieo never came home last night.” Michael smirked. “Looks like someone got lucky,” he paused as he got a forkful of eggs, “again.” He amended his sentence. “You know, that means Rafieo and Mikey must have totally worked through this whole mess.”
“Seems like it,” Leon agreed as he tried to hide his cringe and finish chewing the blackened eggs.
“I’m glad one of us is getting some action in their relationship,” Michael frowned. “Well, I mean consensual action this time. And at least this means that we only have one real rapist in our family.”
“Speaking of, I think I might go offer Donald my eggs.” Leon stood up from his bed.
“He doesn’t deserve a well cooked meal.” Michael argued.
“I think he deserves these eggs. They match his soul.” Leon teased, smiling as he heard Michael giggle at the joke. “Morning, Donald, would you like something to drink with your serving of crispy eggs?” He asked as he got out a new plate and scrapped the eggs off of his plate onto the new one. When he didn’t receive an answer, Leon swallowed tightly and slowly turned around.
Leon took one look at the empty cage before he ran to his bedroom. “Michael, I need you to listen to me and do exactly what I tell you, okay? We don’t have much time.” Leon grabbed his weapons and was thankful that Michael had moved his stuff in his room as he handed Michael his own weapons. “I need you to run and go warn Rafieo and the others that Donald is free.”
“What?” Michael’s eyes widened as he jumped up from the bed. “He escaped? How did he escape?”
“I’m not sure, but I need you to--”
“Leon, I’m not going to leave you here alone with him.” Michael instantly argued.
“I don’t have time to argue with you, Michael. I need you to run--”
But again Michael interrupted. “No, you’re coming with me.”
“I have to stay here and try to hold Donald off for as long as I can.” Leon grabbed Michael’s wrist and started to lead him out of his room. Leon looked into the living room and saw that Donald was still nowhere in sight. “Okay, now, run straight there and don’t--”
“I’m not leaving you.” Michael insisted. “I told you once before that I’d only run if you were running beside me. We have to look out for each other, Leon, because no one else will.”
“Exactly,” Leon smiled, “so go look after Rafieo.”
“But, Leon--” Leon cut Michael off by pulling him forward into a deep kiss, pouring his fear and love into the kiss and making it passionate.
“Michael, I love you so much and the last thing I ever want to see is you hurt. If you love me too, you’ll let me keep you safe and you’ll run to the others.” Leon insisted.
Michael’s eyes began to tear up as he nodded. “I’ll go warn the others, but I’m not going to say that I love you. If you want to hear me say that, then you’re going to have to wait to see me again, that way you will see me again.” Michael explained as he quickly kissed Leon again then tore away from him, quickly sprinting out of their home and into the damp sewers.
Leon inhaled shakily before he drew his twin-bladed short sword and his giant katana. He headed towards Donald’s room and wasn’t surprised that Donald exited before he had even made it past the cage.
“Morning, Leon, my dear brother,” Donald’s smile was filled with mirth as he held up a large laser gun. “Did I ever tell you about this particular weapon that I had created awhile ago? It’s rather similar to the same laser that I had installed into the Terrorphin since it holds the same amount of power. The only difference in their designs is that, well obviously, this one is portable.”
Leon frowned as he lowered his weapons slightly, knowing that they wouldn’t be of any help to himself. “Why don’t you just drop your large butter knives now? Or would you like another demonstration of this laser’s power? I’m pretty sure that at this distance it’ll cut a hole through your plastron this time.”
Sighing, Leon dropped his weapons. “How did you escape, Donald?”
“I always keep certain powders on me for any chemical purposes in case I need to create a quick chemical compound to help myself out. Luckily for me, I was able to use one of my mixtures with some ice and ceramic powder against the chemical makeup of those iron bars to rust them at a fast rate and break myself free.” Donald informed gleefully. “I don’t know why you idiots kept me alive; I’m too smart to be beaten. You should have just killed me when you had the chance, Leon. Your mistake is going to cost you your life now.”
“You wouldn’t kill me,” Leon argued as he held up his hands in front of his body in the universal sign of surrender.
“Why do you think that; because we fucked once? I told you, it was horrible.” Donald spat.
“You said that because you didn’t want me to know that I hurt you. You still like me.” Leon stated confidently.
“No, I don’t. I like Donatello and I will get Donatello because he’s a good fuck and my perfect soul mate. If I have to blow your brains out to get him, well, so be it. All is fair in love and war.” Donald sneered.
Leon shook his head. “You’ve never killed anyone in your life, why would you start with your brother?”
“I have killed someone, for your information, dear, ungrateful brother.” Donald hissed. “I know you found Dunn’s body, don’t tell me you missed the giant hole I put in his head. Or more like made of his head.”
Leon’s eye widened. “That was you?”
“Yes, now shut up. We’ve done enough chatting. It’s time to go reclaim what’s rightfully mine.” Donald stated as he watched Leon process his words. “I still have to fix the Terrorphin from when you sabotaged it, but that shouldn’t take me long. And then we will travel to retrieve my Donatello.”
Leon frowned. “When did you--”
“The day after we made our deal,” Donald whispered. “Dunn wanted me to fully dissect Michael or else he would kill all of us. It, well, it would have made me go back on my word so I decided a different choice needed to be made.” Donald’s hands tightened on his laser gun. “So I killed him.” A breathless laugh escaped him for a moment. “I didn’t even mean to do it, actually, it was just an instinct. And then he was dead and there was so much blood everywhere. The fat bastard was just full of the stuff.”
Leon took a step forward and placed a hand on Donald’s shoulder comfortingly. “Donald, why didn’t you ever--”
Donald growled and slammed the blunt end of the laser against Leon’s head. “Don’t touch me; you’re my hostage here, Leon, not my big brother so stop acting like it!” He snarled loudly as he watched Leon stumble backwards, recoiling from the sudden blow. “Get up and move into the sewers now. I know you had Michael run to the others but I don’t care. Let him tell them that I’m coming; they won’t be able to do anything about it. I hold all the aces this time.” Donald prodded Leon with his weapon and slowly Leon walked into the sewers to where they stored the Terrorphin.
Donald tied Leon up and fixed the flying ship in a matter of minutes. Donald smirked once he had the machine in the air and headed towards the originals’ place. “Are you ready for this, Leon? It’s going to be one life changing event.” Donald chuckled to himself.
“I will always be your big brother, Donald.” Leon commented, making Donald look over his shoulder at him.
“What?” Donald frowned.
“I may be your hostage right now, but I’m still your big brother too. And as your big brother, I’m telling you that you still have time to turn this thing around, to go home, and to let us help you.” Leon offered. “Go home now, I love you like a brother, Donald, and I want to help you get better.”
“By keeping me in a cage for the rest of my life as you watch over me, big brother? Thanks but no thanks.” Donald sneered. “I like my plan a lot more.”

Michael burst through the stairwell and ran to the giant red turtle in the room. He instantly collapsed against his brother as he panted for breath; sweat dripping from seemingly everywhere on his body.
“Michael, are you okay?” Rafieo asked, not exactly startled at seeing his brother since the turtles had all been informed of a giant yellow turtle that had run past security and into the building.
“Here, drink this and try and catch your breath. You really should have just taken the elevator, dude. That was a lot of stairs.” Mikey offered a glass of water.
Michael drank the water gratefully and then wiped a hand over his brow. “Ran across town. Worst idea ever.” He gasped out. “Even worse, Donald is free.” Michael nodded as everyone’s eyes widened. “Yeah, Leon told me to warn you guys.”
“There’s an intruder coming in from the ceiling,” Donatello entered the room suddenly and everyone turned their gaze to him. “The alarm went off in the lab.” Don’s body was shaking. “It’s him.”
“Don, you need to stay down here. Everyone else, come on, we have to go to the roof.” Leo ordered. They all rushed out of the room and towards the platform that would raise them to the roof.
Donald had landed the Terrorphin and had Leon on his knees, the laser gun pointed at his head. “I was wondering when you would show up and join my little reunion.” Donald’s eyes narrowed. “It seems like my guest of honor is missing though. Where is Donatello?”
“You won’t set your eyes on my brother ever again, Donald.” Leo hissed as he stood before the gathered group.
“That’s a shame. I was hoping that I wouldn’t have to use this very powerful laser right here.” Donald pressed the gun tip harder against Leon’s head, making the blue turtle cringe as the metal dug into his skin. “Return Donatello to me, and I won’t kill Leon.”
“Don’t do it.” Leon shouted. “I’m not worth it.”
“Shut up.” Donald snarled and slapped Leon across the face again with his gun.
Michael covered his mouth as he shouted at the hit, muffling himself slightly. “Donald, please!” Michael cried out. “If you stop hurting Leon you could experiment on me again.” He offered.
“That’s not even an option here, Michael!” Leon yelled, quickly ending that idea.
“Shut up, both of you! I don’t care about either of your lives; the only life that matters here to me is Donatello. I only want Donatello!” Donald snarled, glaring at the others.
“This will not end quickly,” Donald warned. “I will make Leon suffer and then die a painful death.” He seethed. “Unless,” he paused for dramatic effect, “you return what you took from me. I can be merciful. I will spare Leon’s life in exchange for Donatello’s. I won’t kill Donatello; I can assure you of that. I brought him back to life in the first place. I never had the intention of him dying and I will make sure that he lives a long life.” Donatello promised.
“A long, miserable life.” Raph growled. “Doesn’t sound like a good idea ta me.”
Donald’s eyes narrowed. “I’ll make the rest of Leon’s short life miserable.” He threatened again. “I’m sure you all remember what damage this shot did to Leon last time; imagine the consequences at this distance. It will literally blast his head right off his shoulders.”
“No, Donald, please, no.” Michael started forward, tears falling from his eyes as he blindly walked towards them.
“Michael, don’t.” Rafieo grabbed his brother, pulling him tightly against his plastron as Michael continued to murmur pleas over and over desperately. Michael’s weight sagged against Rafieo.
“It’s a simple trade,” Donald explained. “One life for another is fair enough. Would you really let someone die for such a selfish reason? You know that I have no intention of killing Donatello.”
“But you have plenty of intentions to hurt him.” Leo shook his head. “You’re trying to get us to trade our brother for someone we barely like; that’s a poor tactic on your part, Donald. I thought you were supposed to be smart.”
Donald glared. “Is it really wise for you to be insulting me right now? Besides, I know you goody-goodies would sacrifice yourselves for someone you don’t even know so don’t try to pull that bullshit with me. And we all know that the instant after I kill Leon I’d turn my laser onto you. You ninjas might be fast, but are you really quicker than my laser?”
Don appeared in the group and spoke up. “You’ll let him go and promise to leave my brothers and your brothers alone?”
“Don,” Mikey eyes widened, “Why aren’t you inside?” Don ignored Mikey’s question and continued to stare at Donald, awaiting an answer.
“Donatello,” Donald smiled widely. “You’re all better.”
“Promise me that if I go with you, you won’t ever hurt my brothers or any of your brothers ever again.” Don repeated, his voice holding more bravery than he actually felt.
“Yes, of course, Donatello.” Donald promised. “You’re all I really need in this world.”
“Deal,” Don whispered as he took a step forward.
“Don, no!” Raph grabbed Don’s arm, pulling him back.
“Don’t touch me!” Don shrieked and Raph instantly released his arm. It was a dirty stunt to pull since Don knew Raph was already worried about touching him since he hoped to avoid sending Don into relapses by physical recall. But Don did it anyways; he really didn’t need Raph interfering. Don stumbled forward another few steps and steadied himself as he lifted his eyes to meet Donald’s piercing gaze.
“That’s right, Donatello, return to me.” Donald grinned and held out his hand. Don froze and started shaking as tears rose to his eyes. He didn’t want to go back to that hell. He had been promised that he would never have to. He had taken the most desperate escape route just to escape Donald. He took another shaky, slow step forward, closer to Donald.
“No,” Leon growled and acted quickly, pushing the laser away from his head and tackling Donald’s waist while he was distracted.
The others quickly went into action. Mikey sprang forward to Don, trying to coax him away, as Splinter, Leo, and Raph all charged after Donald. Cody, Sterling, Michael, and Rafieo stayed where they were and stared, not knowing what to do in this situation since they weren’t properly trained and were weaponless.
Donald’s tail smacked Leon in the face and his foot collided into his gut as he gripped his gun tightly. Leon rolled away in pain. Donald stood and fired at the approaching turtles and rat. Quickly, the guys changed tactics and kept their ground, simply dodging from one side to the other as they tried to avoid the laser.
“Leon,” Michael cried out and ran towards him across the battlefield.
Donald grinned maliciously as he took aim and shot him in the leg easily. “Michael!” Leon rushed to his side as Michael fell to the ground with a shout of agony.
“Leon,” Michael whimpered. “I can’t feel my leg.”
“You’re just in shock, Michael.” Leon promised as he turned his angry glare on Donald.
“Don, come on, we have to get you out of here.” Mikey continued to try and coax his brother indoors and off of the battlefield as Don finally managed to gain control over his body once again.
“Don’t touch him!” Donald shouted and took aim at Mikey. Mikey’s eyes widened and he curled around Don protectively, his shell willing to take the blunt of the attack.
“Mikey!” Rafieo shrieked and hurried in front of him just as Donald’s finger pulled the trigger. The laser hit Rafieo directly in the plastron and he cried out as the red light burned him. It was an exact replica of Leon taking the hit for Cody. Another sacrificial action on the very same rooftop that left everyone staring at Rafieo collapsed forward onto his knees before hitting the ground with the rest of his body.
Donald grinned maliciously as he watched everyone’s face become horror stricken at watching Rafieo fall. “That’s enough!” Leon jumped at Donald and wrestled with him over the laser gun. “You’ve done enough damage, Donald.” Leon snarled as he managed to get a good grip over the trigger despite Donald’s own hand being there.
“I won’t stop until I get what I want.” Donald growled as he continued to fight over his weapon.
“We need to help Leon!” Raph growled but Leo quickly held him back.
“If we get into that fight then we might set the laser off accidentally.” Leo warned.
Just as Leo said it, the weapon suddenly went off in Leon’s and Donald’s hands. The two stared at each other with wide eyes, until blood drizzled out of the corner of Donald’s mouth. A gaping hole replaced his lower plastron plates and he released the gun as he stumbled backwards, touching the edge of where his plastron was disintegrated. He collapsed onto his shell and Leon went to his side, kneeling beside him as he tossed the laser gun away.
“I, I just don’t understand.” Donald confessed, ashamed in himself. His only purpose in life was to understand everything. He was the genius of his family after all, albeit, that wasn’t saying much. He was supposed to know everything; his plans were always supposed to come out the way he predicted them too. He never saw himself dying. He couldn’t understand that his life was ending in such a way.
“I know you don’t, Donald.” Leon’s smile was filled with pity, all aimed at him. Donald’s brow creased and his tail flicked irritably against the pavement. He didn’t like to be pitied.
“C-can I do something to fix it?” He asked, his voice low, pleading, miserable about the prospect of dying. Donald’s body convulsed as he coughed into his hand, blood splattering out of his mouth. Donald’s eyes grew wide with worry and he blindly reached out with his other hand, trying to find something sturdy to hold onto; a rock to compose himself on.
Leon gripped his floundering hand in his own. His eye was wet with unshed tears as he watched his brother slowly die. “No one can fix this.” Leon shook his head when Donald’s fearful eyes met his own. Donald’s breathing faltered as his body convulsed again and then he stilled, never to move again. Leon dropped the limp hand and closed Donald’s eyes, turning his back to his dead brother to help Michael.
At the same time, Mikey was panicking as he tried to flip Rafieo off of his face. “Don, help me roll him over.” Mikey cried out worriedly. “Don, help!” his desperate cry snapped Don out of his panic induced haze. Don turned his eyes away from Donald’s unmoving body to his baby brother.
“Cody, Serling; go get a floating medical bay, quick!” Don shouted and moved to help Mikey move Rafieo. Don instantly started to bark out orders to the others as he went into doctor mode, already starting to scan Rafieo’s body and check his vital signs.
“Mi-Mikey,” Rafieo spluttered, a trail of blood oozing out of the corner of his mouth.
“Don’t talk, Rafieo, save your strength. We’ll talk after Don fixes you up. We’ll talk about anything and everything after that, okay?” Mikey promised as he managed to flip Rafieo over with the help of his three brothers and father.
Rafieo smiled widely at Mikey. “Glad yer safe,” he closed his eyes with a grunt.
Mikey couldn’t even control the tears streaming down his face as he screamed. “Rafieo, don’t close your eyes. Open your eyes, Rafieo. Rafieo!”
Everything was dark.

_-_-_-_-_-_
_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_

Date: 2010-12-21 12:17 am (UTC)All the emotion in this chapter are raw and so real. Give the impression for a rollercoster there.
At first I was totally heart broken about Donnie reaction and fight with Mikey. I can see Don react that way to that kind of situation.
The moment between Mikey and Rafieo is so cute. They learning together how to love, be love and heal. They are so perfect together. This little sweetness is probably the only thing that keep my blood pressure low enough to stand the suspense after. XD
From the moment Leon find that Donald have escape to the end. I was literally on the edge of my seat. All this chapter is well done, but that part really blow my mind.
You have make me cry with Donald final moment. Leon have tell him that he love him as a brother before and only prove his words by staying at his side for his last breath. Not letting him died all alone. Still feel like no matter what Donald have done, especially to Donnie and Micheal, he was not a total bad guys. Just someone sick a way he could maybe not help. We will never know.
Like always a well done chapter and I can't wait to see the next one.

I have to admit that Donald's final moment had me clenching my heart with a bit of sympathy too.
