Raph groaned as he slowly opened his eyes. It felt like the world was moving under him and his stomach was whining about the motions. He tried to spit out some words before anything else came out of him. “What did I do las’ night?” he slurred as he shook his head, trying to clear his fuzzy vision.
The world beneath him apparently hit a bump and he toppled into the side of the Battle Shell. “Ah,” he moaned and frowned as he tried to sit up onto his knees. It was hard since his hands were tied behind his shell and his feet tied together. “What the?”
“Raphie?” Raph blinked as he looked up and saw Mikey looking back at him from the driver’s seat. “You’re up already? I thought you’d be out longer.” He turned his attention back to the road and swerved out of the way of another car. “Sorry,” he apologized as the other car’s horn blazed past him.
Raph groaned as he tried to push away from the other side of the Battle Shell. His dizziness didn’t seem like one brought on by any type of drugs. More like a hard hit to the head. “Mikey, what the hell’s going on? Were we attacked? Was I taken hostage?”
“You could say that.” Mikey murmured.
“By who; Hun or the Foot? Bishop doesn’t seem like the kind of guy ta leave me with such a fuckin’ bump on my head.” Raph winced as the car made him hit the side again, smacking right against the slight bump on his head.
“Sorry,” Mikey apologized.
Raph frowned. “Fer what?” Mikey didn’t answer him and Raph’s frown deepened. His eyes widened as he finally recalled his night, including the part when he had felt someone behind him on a rooftop and turned just in time to see Mikey bring his nunchaku down. Raph swallowed as he leaned his side against the wall and attempted to get out of the ropes. It was no good. Mikey’s knots held tight and he had used the correct technique that was too difficult to get out of on one’s own.
“Mikey,” Raph finally called out.
“Yeah, Raphie?” Mikey asked.
“Where are ya takin’ me?” He questioned cautiously.
“The beach,” Mikey replied.
Raph swallowed. “I thought we were gonna spend a week at the farm house ‘fore leaving fer our real trip.” He reminded.
“Leo and Don would search there first.” Mikey’s voice sounded distant and Raph wondered how long he’d been driving. “Besides, I know how you always wanted to see the beach before you died.”

It was a silent trip as Leo and Don rode back in the Turtle Plane. They had searched the roads from the lair to the farmhouse. With a sickening realization, they realized that Mikey had taken Raph somewhere else. Somewhere they couldn’t follow since Mikey had deactivated all the tracking devices in the van and in both of their Shell Cells.
The two remaining turtles kept quiet as they returned to the lair without their other siblings. Splinter had been informed of the situation, the entire situation. He frowned and nodded his head, retreating to his bedroom.
Don went into the kitchen to contact April and Casey to see if they had gotten any hints or ideas of where Mikey could have gone. Mikey had taken the Battle Shell and knew how to work the GPS system. He could have taken Raph anywhere.
Hanging up the phone with a sigh, Don turned around to look at Leo and shook his head. Leo frowned as he remained sitting at the kitchen table. “You should have told me,” Leo sighed as he rested his head in his hands.
“I already apologized for keeping it from you.” Don exclaimed. “Don’t you think I feel guilty enough, Leo? Raph reached out to me and I just brushed him aside.” Don frowned and rubbed at his eyes. “And now who knows what’s going to happen to him, to both of them.” Don smacked the wall and leaned against it. “All because I was too frightened to tell you,” he sighed as well.
“Frightened?” Leo picked out the word with a frown. “Why were you afraid to tell me about this? How did you think I’d react?”
Don shrugged his shoulders. “I didn’t know for sure, that’s why I kept it to myself. I mean, you could have been doing the same thing Raph was and just settling for me because you thought you couldn’t have Raph. If you learned that Raph shared your feelings,” Don trailed off as he banged his head against the wall again.
“Donnie,” Leo stood from the table and embraced his lover from behind. “Don’t ever think such a thing. I love you. I wouldn’t be in this relationship with you if I didn’t. Why would you ever doubt that?”
“I asked you, Leo.” Don reminded. “I pressured you into a relationship and I never even tried to consider that you could have had feelings for Raph or--”
“I don’t!” Leo interrupted. “I love Raph and even Mikey, no matter how messed up he might be right now, but you’re the only one that holds my true heart, Don. You didn’t pressure me into doing anything I hadn’t been dreaming of doing. Donatello, I love you,” he pressed a kiss to Don’s neck. “And I always will.”
“Even if my stupidity gets Raph killed?” Don’s voice was a whisper, as though saying it louder would make his fear become a reality.
“Killed,” Leo whispered the word back as his body stilled. “Mikey wouldn’t,” he trailed off.
“We’ve all seen the darker side of this world, Leo. Mikey knows about the ex-boyfriends that kill their old girlfriends to ensure that they stay theirs and only theirs.” Don reminded him, turning in Leo’s arms. Leo remained silent as he tightened his embrace.

The sun had set over the crashing waves but the ocean was still a beautiful sight for Raph and Mikey. The two sat in the sand, low enough that a huge wave could cause a bit of water to cascade over their toes. Mikey had positioned Raph so that they were sitting side by side and looking out over the ocean with the Battle Shell behind them.
“Ya sure we’ll be safe here? People do like beaches, even at night.” Raph reminded as he tried to roll his shoulders slightly. His binds were really tight and he was losing circulation in his hands.
“Nah, this beach is closed due to migrating jellyfish. I thought it was fine for us though, since we weren’t planning on swimming really.” Mikey smiled. “You couldn’t swim too well all tied up like that. But we can do other things still, like this,” he leaned up and pressed a kiss to Raph’s beak. Raph turned his head away and Mikey frowned. “Wanna build a sandcastle?”
“I wouldn’t be much help,” Raph bit out.
“I could bury your feet?” Mikey suggested as he leaned his head against Raph’s shoulder again. Raph sighed as an answer and turned to look back out at the calming ocean as the breeze blew their bandanas.
The two sat in silence for a moment before Mikey’s arms came up and gripped Raph desperately. “Just,” he faltered, “just tell me how I can win your heart?” Mikey pleaded as he hugged Raph tightly.
“I wish it was that easy, Mikey, I really do.” Raph replied as he rested his head against Mikey’s. He really did wish that he could do at least something for his little brother. He didn’t like being the reason that his brother was going insane. He especially didn’t like his brother being insane.
“Then I guess I don’t have a choice,” Mikey pulled away from Raph and walked back to the Battle Shell, leaving Raph tied up on the beach and craning his neck to look over his shell to see what Mikey was doing. It was hopeless to try and move; the soft sand underneath Raph made it impossible to move as it molded around his form.
Raph could hear the soft crunch as Mikey jumped out of the open back of the Battle Shell and slowly padded over to him. Raph swallowed tightly as his gut began to twist.
“I love you, Raph,” Mikey stated quietly. “But I don’t love you enough to share you.” Mikey walked past Raph until he was ankle deep into the ocean and continued to stare out at the water as the moon illuminated the curve of his shell. “You promised that you would be mine and I’m going to make you keep that promise.” Mikey turned around to face Raph. There were tears in his eyes as he held a knife in front of him.
For a moment, Raph felt his throat clench as the lesson of Hari-Kari Splinter had informed them of ran through his mind. Their father had stressed that the ceremonial suicide was only appropriate as a last measure. “Mikey,” Raph watched the knife carefully. “Come on, Mikey, put the knife away. Ya don’t gotta do anything drastic.”
“You’re either mine or you’re no one’s!” Mikey shouted as he slowly started to approach Raph’s form with the gleaming knife in hand. “If I can’t have you, no one can.” Mikey stated as he knelt in front of Raph and held the knife up to Raph’s throat. His tears were streaming down his face. “Tell me who you belong to! Choose, Raph! Choose to run away with me or it all ends here.”
Raph swallowed heavily and met Mikey’s eyes. He had seen those eyes so many times; the crazy gleam in a frightened person’s eyes that screamed that they knew they were acting drastically. It looked so wrong to see in Mikey’s normally brilliant blue eyes. “I’m yers, Mikey.” Raph whispered as he held Mikey’s gaze. “I promise I’m yers. I’ll go anywhere ya wanna go.” He knew he didn’t really have a choice in the matter but he wasn’t lying to Mikey; he could tell his brother needed him.
A wide, shaky grin spread across Mikey’s face as he nodded, happy with Raph’s answer. Mikey moved the knife away from Raph’s neck and stared at it curiously. Raph watched as Mikey’s eyes cleared from the crazy haze that had covered them and he slowly came back to himself.
Mikey tossed the knife across the beach, it was quickly lost in the mass of sand, and wrapped his arms around Raph’s neck as he burst into uncontrollable sobs. His sobs shook his body and muffled out anything Raph tried to whisper to him. Since Raph couldn’t wrap his arms around Mikey’s trembling form, he settled for nuzzling his head against Mikey’s. His heart broke as he was heard his little brother’s pain vocalized.
_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
They were sitting side by side again, Mikey still holding onto Raph as he leaned against his side. He sniffled every now and again but his tears had run dry. “I don’t know what came over me.” Mikey wiped at his beak as his voice lowered. “I was just so afraid of losing you.”
“So killing me made sense?” Raph questioned as his eyes narrowed at Mikey’s lack of knowledge in that oxymoronic explanation.
Mikey nodded. “I was going to kill myself after so I could follow you in the afterworld. That way we would never have to lose each other.”
Raph frowned, not able to not feel sorry for his brother. Even if Mikey was a desperate crazy now, he was still Mikey. “Mikey, why are ya so afraid of losing me?” Raph wanted to help Mikey in any way he might be able to but he first needed to know how to help him. “We’re ninjas, there’s a chance we might die. Ya gotta accept that. If one of us falls then life fer the others would go on, ya know.”
“No it wouldn’t, not for me.” Mikey shook his head. “Don’t you get it, Raph? We are ninjas and we have an awful life because of that.” He stated solemnly. “We have to stay hidden from the entire world. We’re constantly hiding and watching our shells for our many enemies, never getting a moment to rest. We can’t even sit on this beach without relaxing because we’re both so worried about being seen.” Mikey sighed. “Except we find happiness in our friends, in each other; other people give us reason to keep living. But then Don and Leo paired up, so they now find happiness only in each other and don’t have any to spare for us.” Mikey’s arms moved away from Raph to wrap around his own knees. “And you wanted Leo too. If I gave you the chance, you’d leave me too. Then I’d be all alone and there’s no happiness there.” Mikey placed his forehead on his knees. “I’d have no reason to go on living.”
“Mikey,” Raph frowned and shook his head. “You’re worrying fer nothin’. Leo and Donnie still got time fer ya, still got happiness just fer their littlest bro. Nothin’ is ever gonna change that. We’re all going to be brothers forever and we’re never gonna stop loving ya.” Raph argued lightly. “Yer always gonna have a reason ta keep on fightin’, keep on living.”
“Really?” Mikey asked timidly as he lifted his head.
“Really,” Raph assured.
Mikey nodded his head and leaned against Raph again. “I’m sorry for acting so crazy.”
“It’s alright,” Raph smiled softly. “Shell, I’ve almost killed you before so I guess we’re even now.” His smile turned a bit sour.
Mikey smiled half-heartedly back. “This relationship was doomed from the start.”
Raph frowned. “Why do ya think that?”
“My first wet dream was about you holding me down with that metal pipe and just screwing me raw while you bashed my head in.” Mikey chuckled and Raph found it sounding suspiciously like he was crying again. “I need help, Raphie.” Mikey wrapped his arms around Raph’s form once again; trying to hold onto Raph for stability as he drowned in his own messed up mind. “I need help so bad.”
“It’s okay, Mikey, everything’s gonna be fine. We’ll get ya help. Why don’t ya untie me now and I’ll drive us back home? Ya know we gotta go back. I’ll call ahead, tell them we’re coming home, and they’ll make us some pizza. That sound good ta ya?” Mikey nodded and he started to untie Raph but paused for a moment as his eyes filled with fear and he glanced up at Raph. Raph frowned at the look and leaned his head forward to press a quick kiss to the top of Mikey’s head. Mikey’s lips quirked up into a small smile and he continued to release Raph from his bonds.
Raph rubbed at his wrists as soon as he was freed. He turned to Mikey and found his little brother had his eyes clenched tightly and was trembling slightly. Raph pulled Mikey into a tight hug. “It’s okay, Mikey, it’s gonna all be okay.” He wanted to make sure that his brother knew how much he loved him.
Mikey’s arms shakily rose and gripped at Raph as he took comfort in Raph’s embrace.
_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
“He might try to hurt himself, it will be better this way.”
“Right,” Raph sighed. “Got’cha,” he heard the other line go silent and knew that Leo had hung up. Raph grimaced at the wall as he prepared for what he knew he had to do.
“Mikey? Splinter wants a quick word with ya,” Raph offered the phone.
Mikey exhaled loudly and then grabbed the phone and pressed it against his head. “Master?” he asked. He frowned as he waited for a response. “Master Splinter?” He pulled the phone away and stared at the main screen. “Raph, the call ended. Did it disconnect or--” Mikey’s eyes widened as his hands were suddenly pulled behind him and he was pressed face first to the floor as he was tied up.
Struggling proved to be pointless and within a few moments he was secured within his rope bindings. He had a sickening suspicion that he had been disowned from the family. His name would be forbidden in the lair and he would be left alone to rot on the beach for humans to find then lock him away in some underground laboratory.
Mikey had tears running down his face once again. “Please don’t leave me here.” He begged as he turned his head in the sand to look pathetically up at his brother.
Raph frowned and knelt next to Mikey, rubbing his head soothingly. Mikey nuzzled into Raph’s hand, reveling in the touch. “I ain’t leaving ya, Mikey. I tied ya up so ya wouldn’t try ta run. I’m gonna help ya, Mikey, we’re all gonna help ya.” He bent down and pressed his lips to Mikey’s. Mikey closed his eyes and moaned blissfully when Raph pulled away.
“I don’t get it.” Mikey frowned.
“I’m here fer ya, Mikey.” Raph smiled and cupped Mikey’s chin. “It’s what boyfriends do fer each other.”
Tears started to fall from Mikey’s eyes again, but they were tears of happiness. “You’ll still be my boyfriend.”
“I wasn’t lying when I said I thought we could work the other day. But the old version of Mikey seems ta work better so why don’t we work on that annoying Mikey comin’ back and kicking the crazy one’s butt? After all, that annoying Mikey was a Battle Nexus champ, if my memory recalls. Who wouldn’t wanna date a champion?” Raph smiled half heartedly as Mikey offered a small chuckle and then a serious nod of his head.
Raph picked up his bundled boyfriend and carefully cradled him. “Let’s head home,” Raph stated as he walked towards the Battle Shell, ready to end the crazy story that his relationship became.

Over time Mikey received the help he needed. It took many sessions talking to Master Splinter about his fears and then to Don with Raph beside him about other things. Some of the methods used at first were a tad extreme, such as tying Mikey up so he couldn’t follow Raph and Leo going out on a patrol, but positive results showed after such incidents. Mikey no longer had the strong urge to keep an eye on Raph everywhere.
Not everything was as extreme though. Three times a week Raph would be asked to sit next to Leo while watching a movie with Mikey on the other end of the couch away from him. The tension in the lair decreased as everyone pitched in to help the youngest and soon they felt like Mikey was ready for a bigger step to recovering.
After a few months, Raph and Don were ordered to spend a week up at the farmhouse with each other, away from Mikey, to see how he would handle being separated from his boyfriend. He was allowed one phone call a day to Raph and Mikey handled that week well enough for the next step. Raph and Leo spent a week alone at the farmhouse. Surprisingly, Mikey was okay during that week as well. He had made two more phone calls than he had the previous week but Don claimed that to be fine since the one call was to ask where Leo had put the ketchup since he had used it last.
Finally, Raph was able to return for good to Mikey and help him with the final step of healing which he had decided on doing on his own, after asking Don if it sounded like a good idea.
“Raphie?” Mikey frowned as he looked at Raph and then to his bedroom. Raph had dragged in a mattress into his own room; it would have been harder to set up Mikey’s filthy room. Their entire candle supply was lit and spread around Raph’s room, the lights flickering from every corner with each step Mikey took farther into the erotic space. An assortment of flower petals littered a little path that led to the mattress and covered it like a set of sheets. Soft music lulled out of Raph’s boom-box to gently float through the air, adding to the aroma of the room.
Raph wrapped around Mikey from behind, gently pressing a kiss to his neck. “I’m gonna show ya how our first time shoulda gone.” Mikey smiled and laced his fingers through the hand resting on his plastron.
“You’re such a softy.” Mikey teased lightly as he leaned his head to the side, offering more of his neck to Raph’s soft attentions. Mikey turned in Raph’s arms and nuzzled his neck softly then he moved to lie atop of the mattress. Raph moved to straddle over him, his hands on either side of Mikey’s head pressing the flower petals into the mattress.
“I’m proud of ya, Mikey.” Raph praised as he gently caressed Mikey’s cheek with one hand. “Ya worked so hard and yer better now, much, much better.”
“I know that I’m yours even if you’re not allowed and only because you want me to be yours, which means a lot.” Mikey smiled as he wrapped his arms around Raph’s neck.
“And ya should know that I’m yers.” Raph allowed a soft smile to cross his lips as Mikey’s eyes widened. The candles around them flickered and reflected in Mikey’s blue orbs, making it seem like his eyes were shining. “I love ya,” Raph whispered as he leaned in to kiss him. Their tongues brushed against each other in a passionate dance as they slowly they made love.
A.N. So it might seem like a cop-out ending but this fic is for Catc10 and she doesn't like Mikey topping and the perfect happy ending would have been Raph letting Mikey finally top. So, yeah. Idk what I was going to say, my friends distracted me. Happy New Years, again!~
