“Hey, Don, I have a question for you.” Mikey sung as he came into the lab.
“What a shame, I didn’t get you anything.” Don replied easily as he continued to tap away at his computer.
Mikey rolled his eyes. Don was almost as witty as he was, almost. But Mikey always hand the upper hand thanks to television being on his side.
“Hey, Brain,” Donnie sighed and looked up at his energetic little brother. “Can I be your Pinky?” Mikey grinned as he slipped in between Don and his computer, straddling his legs as he wrapped his arms around his neck.
Don lifted a brow as his hands automatically went to Mikey’s hips. “Let me guess what your question is,” he retorted dryly.
“What are we going to do tomorrow?” Mikey grinned widely.
Don chuckled. “What we do every day, Mikey, try to save the world.”
Mikey frowned. “Worst improvising ever, Don; I’m ashamed of you. The least you could have said was try to rock my world or something.”
Don scoffed and dumped Mikey off of his lap to continue with his work, ignoring Mikey’s whining.

It was weird but they had all met, all un-expectantly, by their father’s grave at the same time. The blossoms were all bloomed and it made that small part in the park look beautiful, especially compared to the rest of the horrible world they were forced to live in.
The three of them just stared at one another at first, no one saying a word. Mikey broke the ice. “April packed me a lunch so I could share with Master Splinter. It’s kinda like the ritual the people in Mexico used to celebrate on Halloween.” He explained as his one hand lifted the picnic basket he had.
“The Day of the Dead,” Raph commented.
“La Dia de los Muertos,” Leo stated.
Mikey nodded. “Yeah, that one,” he shifted from one foot to the other. “You two wanna join me?”
Raph glanced at Leo, his one eye narrowed. “I’ll join ya, Mike. But I can’t speak fer Fearless.”
“I can still speak for myself, Raph,” Leo frowned. “I didn’t lose my tongue.”
“Just your brother, father, and eyesight,” Raph grumbled.
Leo ducked his head. “We all lost a brother and father.”
“And we all should have a nice lunch in memory of them.” Mikey prompted as he began setting up a blanket. It was tough with one hand.
“Let me help ya with that,” Raph offered as he took the blanket from his little brother. Leo knelt down next to the laid out blanket and helped straighten it out. Wordlessly, Mikey pulled out the packed food and drinks.
Raph stared at the three drinks; a thermos filled with tea, a beer, and Mikey’s favorite brand of pop. “April sure packed a lot, huh?” Raph looked at Mikey accusingly.
Mikey shrugged. Leo shook his head as the thermos was handed to him. “You were going to wait here for us all day, weren’t you, Mikey?”
“Well,” Mikey sighed, “It is the day Donnie disappeared. It seemed fitting to remind myself that I still did have two brothers, even if I didn’t see them daily. This is the only place that I can ever catch sight of one of you.”
Raph took his beer and uncapped it, holding his drink up. “To Donnie,” he declared.
“To Don,” Mikey clacked his can.
“To Donatello,” Leo joined in with his thermos. “May he be somewhere better than we are.”
“Amen ta that,” Raph added before the three guzzled down their drinks.
